About the Role

Tenkara is hiring a Freight Broker to build and manage shipper accounts while driving revenue growth. You'll own the full customer lifecycle—from prospecting and quoting through delivery coordination—serving as the trusted point of contact for your clients. This remote role is critical to scaling our shipper-focused brokerage business.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and win new shipper accounts through targeted outreach and relationship building.
• Understand each customer's freight lanes, volumes, service requirements, and pricing expectations.
• Quote freight competitively, negotiate rates, and secure shipments.
• Coordinate with carrier operations to arrange capacity and ensure reliable service delivery.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and pursue additional freight opportunities within existing accounts to drive growth.

What We're Looking For

• Proven sales experience, ideally in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation.
• Track record of developing customer relationships and closing business deals.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline in a remote environment.
