Job Description

Valet Attendant

Greets members and guests and provides expedited parking and car retrieval services upon arrival and departure.

Essential duties include:

• Greeting members and guests promptly and courteously upon their arrival and departure.
• Distributing claim tickets and ensuring the tickets are returned when the guest retrieves their vehicle.
• Assisting guests when entering and exiting their vehicles.
• Ensuring claim tickets are attached to keys when in the property's possession and accounted for at all times.
• Operating vehicles with safety at all times by using extreme caution when driving in the parking lots and observing all speed limits.
• Returning all cars to their owners in the same manner and condition they were taken.
• Following the valet station guidelines for setting up and breaking down of valet station.
• Providing direction and information regarding property's facilities.
• Incorporating safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performing other duties as required.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: Frequently stands, walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops kneels, crouches, crawls, tastes and smells. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds.

Environment/Noise: Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally works near fumes. Occasionally experiences vibration. Noise level is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses: Valid Driver's License.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
